The prison system is a central agency in this rehabilitation for Nigeria's criminal justice system. Performance of prison facilities across Nigeria has always been questioned especially for Abakaliki and Awka prisons. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Benjamin Okorie Ajah is a Lecturer at the Social Science Unit, School of General Studies, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Criminology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. This is after obtaining Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
