The study is relevant for a variety of reasons. First of all, it is the first study in a human-CIM system interface environment based on the load cell concept used to measure human performance in terms of both cognitive and motor actions simultaneously. This potentially enhances the understanding of how realistic performance measure may work in the context of ergonomic design of systems and their interfaces. This book attempts to provide a systematic analysis for developing a detailed ergonomic database for the optimum utilization of CIM systems and their interfaces. The study targeted the CIM systems, keeping in view the growth of the automation nowadays, and the use of AGV and ASRS in manufacturing and design. The findings of these studies can be directly applied to the practice field which will certainly improve the design of CIM systems using AGV/ASRS and their interface. It is finally suggested that those responsible for the function and operation of CIM systems using AGV/ASRS would have to redesign the system to improve efficiency and reduce injuries as far as musculoskeletal and other related problems are concerned.
