The AAM Natural fiber carefully extracted by using mechanical decortications method. The fibers were alkali treated (NaOH solution) with different soaking period. The physical, chemical and mechanical properties of the AAM fiber calculated as per ASTM method. The various test specimens according to the ASTM standards were tested to evaluate physical, mechanical, TGA and water absorption behavior of fiber, water absorption of composites (Boiled and cold) and tribological properties. The surface morphology of the failure specimens also analyzed.Testing methods and procedure were detailed for easy understanding of the readers.

T. Ramakrishnan est actuellement professeur adjoint au Sri Eshwar College of Engineering et affilié à l'Anna University, tous deux en Inde. Après avoir obtenu des distinctions dans ses diplômes de premier et de deuxième cycle, il a ensuite obtenu un doctorat en ingénierie. Il a près de dix ans d'expérience dans l'enseignement et six ans dans la recherche.
