The main objective of this study is to find a lasting solution to the problem of gas flaring in Nigeria. The emphasis, therefore, has been on the economic viability of producing LPG and LNG from the Nigerian flare gas stream using the compression cryogenic refrigeration process. For the project, 36 Gas Chromatograph analyzed samples of Nigerian flare gas stream from the major oil-producing companies were selected. The statistical average for the sample was computed to produce the representative flare stream composition. From qualitative and quantitative phase behavior history, the operating conditions were determined, and the process flow diagram drawn.
