Following the electropulsing induced phase transformations of alloys, systematic studies of thin films of Zn-Al alloys and semiconductors ( Bi-Te, AZO-2 and AZO-5 ) were studied by using electropulsing. The detected multi-circulation of both phase transformations and preferred crystal orientation changes make it possible to monitor microstructural changes and to enhance physical and optical properties of the thin films. The research road map went through various aspects of the physical metallurgy, included thermal metallurgy, mechanical metallurgy, electro-metallurgy and electro-mechanical metallurgy, was scientifically logical and effective in studying and exploring application of the thin films of semiconductors.

Dr Zhu Yao Hua graduated North-Eastern Univ. of China in 1965. He completed his PhD in 1983, and was conferred Doctor of Science, 2006, at Aston Univ., UK. He has over 113 publications. His recent research interests focus at electropulsing induced phase transformations and their effects on conductivity of thin films of semiconductors.
