The FACTS involves conversion and/or switching power electronics in the range of a few tens to a few hundred megawatts. The book contains eight chapters.

He completed AMIE in Electrical Engineering from Institution of Engineers, Kolkata, in 1990, M.Tech and Ph.D. from IIEST Shibpur, Howrah, in 1999 and 2012. He completed 25 years of teaching experience in Technical Institutions. His research interests in STATCOM and its application to Power Systems.
