Improving reading skill has always been a serious concern to EFL learners and quite a few researchers have conducted various studies to pave the way for language teachers and to find the best ways to meet EFL learners' needs in this regard. Among different modern approaches, TBLT has always been at the center of attention of researchers and language teachers since the most important feature of task-based framework is that it moves learners from fluency to accuracy in production of target structures. The present study was conducted to confirm the contribution of task-oriented activities to improve EFL reading skill. In doing so, Task-based reading as an unfocused pedagogic task that aims to encourage the comprehension and production of language for purposes of communication, was selected and practiced.
