It is very essential to establish a multi jet engine test rig which can incorporate different types of jet engines in the same test rig. Such a test rig is called Universal Test Bed (UTB). The adaptive frame and thrust mounts are the important elements in the UTB. This project is carried out in Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Engine division. In this project an attempt has been made to design and analyze the adaptive frame and thrust mounts. This is done using geometric modeling and Finite Element Modeling. The above components are designed with the consideration of thrust force generated, weight of jet engine, self weight of test bed components and weight of air duct. The structural analysis is carried out to determine the stress level and deformation of the structure.
