The main goals of Rwanda rural electrification strategy have been; Ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all ,as part of the sustainable development goals and also affiliated to the African agenda 2063, this study were conducted with the objective of assessment of socio economic impact of Rwanda rural electrification strategy 2016 on livelihood transformation using a case study of Busoro in Rulindo District, The study conducted out through a sample selected from beneficiaries and implementers of program. The study used both qualitative and quantitative research design .The study found out that the light provides more opportunity and improves the quality of lifestyle in rural areas. Moreover the study found different barriers of program propagation and full use of program benefits. The study recommended that the government should strengthen the infrastructure, promote the installment of peoples in villages and decentralize technological electronic appliances.

I am a hard working scientist with Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, Renewable Energy option and Masters in Energy policy. I worked at  Rwanda Natural Resources Authority from 2012 to 2016. I have attended several conferences, workshops, training and summer schools on Energy, Minerals and Entrepreneurship in Rwanda, Algeria and Germany.
