In this book, energy and exergy aspects for the gas turbine cycle with and without absorption refrigeration system attached for cooling the intake air to the compressor are investigated in details. All the performance characteristics representing the first and second law of the formulation of the whole system and its individual components are revealed. Most of the operating parameters that could affect the duty of the stated cycles are taken into consideration. The analysis is applied to one of the largest gas turbine power plants found in Basra city-Iraq (Rumaila-Basra). Both International Standardized Organization (ISO) operating conditions as well as actual operating data recorded for one month in the hot season are considered.
