The study shows that the MSWW were at risk to many occupational hazards and generally lack any form of safety protection against these hazards. Most of them have not taken any safety training course. The study recommends that it is necessary to provide vaccination programs, health surveillance, training courses before starting, provide protective measures, adoption of an occupational safety and health policy, all of these things must be done.

Rami Khaled Shehada (main author) is an MSc in Environmental Monitoring & Management, Environmental Science, The Islamic University-Gaza, now works as a nurse at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Ministry of Health. The book was co-authored by: Yasser Al Nahal, Abdel Hamid el Bilbeisi and Samer Abuzerr.
