The idea of formulating Fast Dissolving Tablets of Febuxostat is to provide an acceptable and practical approach for the objectives of faster disintegrating and dissolution characteristics. In the current work Fast Dissolving Tablets of Febuxostat were prepared by sublimation technique after preparing solid dispersion of Febuxostat in which co- precipitation gives high solubility in ratio of 1:0.5:1.2 (Drug: PEG 6000: Mannitol) , using sodium starch glycolate, croscarmellose sodium, kyron T -134 and kyron T-314. All the Fast Dissolving Tablets of Febuxostat were subjected to thickness, diameter, hardness, friability, weight variation, disintegration time, wetting time, water absorption ratio and drug content uniformity.

Dr. Kinjal Solanki has completed her PhD in 2017 from Bhagwant University, India and M.Pharm from Ganpat University, India. She is the Associate Professor in Shankersinh Vaghela Bapu Institute of Pharmacy, India. She has published more than 26 papers in reputed journals and has been advisory member in many professional bodies.
