Photometric methods, as the name suggests, use light (photon), to measure something (metric). The main use of photometric methods is present in the quantification of certain samples of substances. Under the circumstances, a project was aimed at the construction of a fluorimeter to perform quantitative analysis of the fluorescein present in commercial samples. A fluorimeter is a laboratory device used to measure fluorescence parameters. In theory, fluorescence is based on the assumption that the photon, when absorbed by the molecule of a substance, excites its electrons, making them jump to higher energy levels.

Mi nombre es Lídia Paiva, y concluí la Escuela Superior de Técnico en Electrónica Integrada en 2017 en el Instituto Federal de São Paulo (IFSP-SPO), donde llevé a cabo este proyecto de Iniciación Científica.
