The textbook presents a brief outline of the basic engineering in computer programming for the estimation of solar radiation and performance of flat plate collectors. The study has been taken from the point of view of general overview, literature review, theoretical approach, programming procedure, program testing, conclusions and recommendations. The research simplifies collecting solar beam, diffuse and total radiation data for any location, different times in a year and different times in a day. This point is one of the major factors which decides whether or not the location under study is suitable for a certain project and what is the optimum technology that should be used according to given data analysis also solar energy performance technologies ( PV,FPCs,PTCs or PDCs,…etc.) depend mainly on solar radiation quantity on the system location.

Hassan Ali Mohi-Eldin Elhassan was born in Atbara, Sudan in 1991. He received a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Nile Valley University, Faculty of Engineering and Technology in 2013, and a master degree in Energy Engineering from University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan in 2019.
