This research work describes the occurrence, distribution and molecular characterization of Groundnut rosette assistor virus (GRAV) causing Groundnut rosette disease (GRD) in western Kenya. The extensive field survey, greenhouse screening, RT-PCR and Next Generation Sequencing were done on the groundnut crop and other leguminous hosts mainly cultivated in western Kenya plus Solanaceous Golden Berry (Physalis peruviana Linn).

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Anthony Simiyu Mabele is a Molecular Plant Pathologist with special interest in plant virus disease diagnostics. He holds a BEd (Science; Chemistry/Biology), an MSc in Crop Protection and currently pursuing PhD in the same field on Serological and molecular characterization of Cucurbit chlorotic yellows virus (CCYV).
