The general problem posed in this research is: How do management information systems affect the business management of hardware stores in the city of Huaraz? Which was approached starting from the general hypothesis: Management information systems have a limited impact on the efficiency of business management in Peruvian hardware stores. And the specific hypotheses are: Management information systems in Peruvian hardware stores use manual and non-computerized processes. The business management in Peruvian hardware stores, is guided by experience and keep track of their sales only with a sales notebook.
