This work deals with the problem of optimization of the maintenance function. The objective is to identify the different equipments of the cement manufacturing process while looking for those that present the most critical failures. Then it consists in identifying the elementary organs of these equipments, especially the mill.We used the laws of reliability and analysis methods (FMECA and ABC) to focus on the equipment failures that cause the majority of the failure effects on maintenance, production and production quality. We followed up our work with an application of "Weibull's Law". The lifetime of the critical component is determined using a graphical, analytical and numerical method to determine the failure parameters, which are used for the evaluation of the equipment degradation rate and to determine the type of maintenance to be applied.
