This book narrates a research study about speech act recognition. This study aimed to investigate if the Iranian EFL learners are able to recognize different speech acts. Moreover, it was an attempt to discover if the EFL learners’ proficiency level plays a role in the recognition of speech acts. The results revealed that the Expressive speech act was recognized more frequently. The findings indicated that the advanced level outperformed the pre-intermediate level in distinguishing the correct speech acts.

Rasool Mirshekaran (Share-pir, 1991) a obtenu une maîtrise en linguistique appliquée à l'université maritime de Chabahar. Il est professeur d'anglais.Zahra Jowkar (Kzeroun, 1985) a obtenu un master en enseignement de l'anglais à l'université de Shiraz. Elle est professeur d'anglais.
