Summary:Coir industry is one of the most traditional cottage industries concentrated in coconut producing states in the country. The expansion of coconut cultivation coir industry is coming up in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal and the union territory of Pondicherry and Goa are advantages offered by the coconut industry. The problems related to the financial management have been the major barrier for every organization. In the era of digital technology, every nation is prone to environmental pollution. The coir products are eco-friendly and relatively durable when compared with the other competitive products. The future of a nation could obviously depend upon the protection of its environmental and natural resources.

I am Dr.K.Amutha, I joined in this noble profession on 1st July 2003, presently serving as a Associate Professor of Commerce at PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. I have published 32 articles at various reputed Journals, Presented Twenty Seven papers and prticipated various National, International Seminars, Conferences and workshops.
