This book, Influence of Artificial Intelligence on Academic Performance of Benue State University Students assessed the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools on the academic performance of students at Benue State University, Makurdi. The specific objectives were to evaluate the extent of AI tool usage, examine its impact on academic performance, identify its benefits, and establish the challenges faced in its usage. The Diffusion of Innovation Theory provided the theoretical framework, explaining the adoption patterns of AI tools among students. A survey research design was employed, with data collected from a sample size of 374 students using a structured questionnaire. The findings revealed that AI tools were widely adopted, with 70% of students using them daily, primarily for research and writing. AI significantly improved assignment completion, writing quality, and research efficiency, though it had a lower impact on examination preparation. The study also highlighted challenges such as poor internet access, high subscription costs, and concerns about academic integrity.
