The issues of obtaining Portland cement clinker in high-temperature apparatuses are considered with a change in the properties and mineralogical composition of the processed raw materials; studies of the features of physical, chemical and technological processes of clinker synthesis using non-traditional raw materials; development of principles for controlling the firing process and ways to improve the quality of clinker; development of an algorithm for designing and improving a complex of heat exchange devices in a rotary kiln, taking into account changes in the physical properties of raw sludge when heated.
