The ICCN's national nature conservation strategy for in- and ex-situ protected areas aims to achieve its objectives within 10 years from an intra- and intergenerational equity perspective. In this unequivocal context, the collection of concepts used in environmental assessment would be a major contribution and would serve as a gateway for acquiring knowledge or information as the case may be, to influence the leaders of the nature conservation sector of the DRC, to facilitate the realization of environmental assessments during the various phases to strengthen these strategies for the sustainable conservation of biodiversity. This study is a succession of observations at the national level mentioning the crying lack of in-depth environmental studies in the sector because of the poor collaboration of the ICCN authorities on the financial level and the lack of coherent policy likely to guarantee the conservation of nature and the valorisation of biodiversity in a sustainable way. The setback in this sector being perceptible, should not weaken the determination of the author to produce noble instruments to be put at the service of nature.
