Agents are management entities used in network environments to assist in supervision, fault prevention, control, and resolution of possible error situations. These entities obtain data from devices and, if used rationally and optimally, can enable effective control of a business environment where there is equipment from different manufacturers, operating systems based on numerous platforms, proprietary management interfaces, and, in short, a wide range of variables that hinder homogeneous management. Due to the heterogeneity of networks, this study used the JAVA programming language because of its compatibility with a larger number of devices, a situation that occurs due to its virtual machine, which is already supported on several platforms. The JAVA language, together with the management potential that the SNMP protocol offers when working with Management Databases, was employed in order to obtain a tool that enables greater interaction between the network administrator and the managed environment.

He holds a bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the State University of Montes Claros-UNIMONTES. MBA in Network Analysis and Telecommunications. He is currently Coordinator of the Technical Course in Internet Information Technology-CEAD/IFNMG. University Professor. He has experience in the field of networks. Autodesk Autocad Professional and Cisco CCNA certified.
