This research is about enhancing adult English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners' digital language learning experiences by incorporating computer-assisted language learning applications into a collaborative learning management system within a hybrid/native mobile app. The study involved several phases, starting with an exploratory context analysis to inform the learning environment. It then examined and mapped worldwide language learning apps and platforms to identify best practices. The research designed and developed a progressive web app (PWA) to support individualized second language vocabulary learning, emphasizing cognitive steps and e-learning principles. Results showed that this approach effectively improved learners' self-regulation, motivation, and self-efficacy in vocabulary learning.
