Dr. Mukesh Kr. Singh, ha consegu ito il dottorato di ricerca presso il Dipartimento di Genetica e Allevamento Vegetale dell'Istituto di Scienze Agrarie, BHU, Varanasi, UP, India. Il Dr. Singh si è specializzato nella selezione e nella coltura di antere del riso. Durante il suo lavoro di ricerca sono state identificate cinque varietà di riso e solo due sono state rilasciate e notificate.
