Using real data from the Brazilian municipality of Guaratinguetá - SP, the book provides examples of the improvements needed in solid waste management, following the guidelines of Federal Law No. 11.455/07 and Federal Law No. 12.305/10, which establish Brazilian sanitation regulations and the national policy on urban solid waste.
