The tuberose flowers and spikes are durable, remain fresh for long time and stand for distant market transportation due to their waxy nature appeared on the flowers. Tuberose is a heavy feeder and requires a large quantity of NPK, both in the form of organic and inorganic fertilizers. Fertilizers have great influence on plant growth and flower production in tuberose.

Dr. Manisha Sudhirrao Deshmukh, Ph.D. NET (Floriculture and landscape Architecture), Assistant Professor, College of Agriculture, Dr. P.D.K.V., Akola. She is involved in teaching UG courses in horticulture. She has published 21 research papers, 50 popular articles and associate as a Co-worker with several research recommendations.
