Inhaltsangabe

This study develops a fractional-order mathematical model to analyze HIV/AIDS transmission dynamics by extending a classical integer-order model. The fractional formulation incorporates memory effects using power-law behavior, providing a more realistic description of disease progression. The model is analyzed for existence, uniqueness, and stability of the endemic equilibrium using Lyapunov methods. Sensitivity analysis identifies key parameters influencing the basic reproduction number. The model is validated using real HIV data, and numerical simulations are performed using the fractional Adams-Bashforth-Moulton method. Results showed that improved treatment and safe behavioral practices significantly reduce HIV prevalence, while higher contact rates and poor treatment adherence increase infection levels. The study highlights the importance of control strategies and demonstrates the effectiveness of fractional-order modeling in capturing HIV dynamics.
