The intensive industrialization of the Global South has drastically transformed the conventional production systems, and the Intangible Cultural Heritage is being eroded in a slow manner. Here, traditional crafts are shunned out more with the handcrafted processes being substituted by the standardized mass-produced ones. This change is analyzed and critically responded to this shift by challenging the traditional typology of museum that tends to isolate craft as a static display object. It suggests instead that the Art and Crafts Preservation Centre be a living archive, a moving archive, an archive of continuity making, learning, and transmission more than an expensive and museum like display.
