This monograph reframes rental fleet management from a capacity-utilization problem to an asset-portfolio optimization problem, demonstrating that treating vehicles as depreciable financial assets with periodic yield, condition-dependent depreciation, and terminal payoff fundamentally changes the structure of pricing, maintenance, and disposition decisions. The work identifies and formalizes the coupling failure whereby independent optimization of revenue, maintenance, and remarketing subsystems produces systematic value destruction through pricing-induced depreciation acceleration, demand-misaligned maintenance scheduling, and mistimed disposition. An integrated dual-objective optimization system is presented that jointly maximizes rental revenue and minimizes condition-state depreciation through a two-stage decomposition alternating vehicle-level dynamic programming with fleet-level pricing, converging within three to five iterations for fleets of up to three thousand vehicles. The monograph establishes performance boundaries, organizational implications, and the generalizability of the prescriptive architecture to other asset-intensive service industries.
