Currently, there are extremely few scientifically grounded, standardized methods adapted to specific professional fields that could be used to assess employees' professional suitability for personnel-related tasks, and the few existing developments, due to their uniqueness and the lack of mass-produced equipment, hinder their widespread implementation, which could be realized using computer technology. This paper analyzes the procedures and methods of professional selection in the field of aviation security, describes the job profile of an airport X-ray television system operator, and examines the professionally important qualities of the operator that determine the success of their work. Based on the results of the analytical study, a computer-based method for assessing the psychophysiological qualities of the operator has been developed.
