This book grew out of two questions I asked myself at the beginning of my first year of teaching: How should I manage oral activities in the classroom, and how can I integrate oral and written communication within a lesson plan? By launching a project with the help of an actor, I developed a lesson sequence aimed at building students' confidence and fostering better relationships among them and with me. This work explores the practice of oral communication and the challenges it presents in a ninth-grade classroom.
