Sufis would abhor to be defined by any ism. Sufi mind is liberated from the confines of dogma, religious compulsions and isms. A Sufi has a strong personal relation with his Creator whom he feels within the depths of his own being and does all he can do to be one with Him in a bond of Divine Love. A Sufi is essentially a mystic whose love for God spills over into love for all that to him is beautiful in the creation―\- both animate and inanimate. That explains my use of the term Romantic Sufism.\n \nThe book contains poems born from my psyche influenced by nuances of Sufism. Then there are a few translations by me of some popular Sufi poems. The book ends with some contemplations spurred by my concerns about my self and society in the light of Sufi ethos. \n\nCover painting: A 14th Century painting showing Indian musician and poet, Amir Khusro, with famous Sufi saint, Khwaja Nizamuddin Aawliya.
