This book contains seven papers. In the first two papers, Professors Kuldeep Bhan and Ajithprasad both belonging to the MS University of Baroda, write papers on their own special topics. The remaining five papers are dealt with the outcome of excavations at Kanmer as followed: a general report by Dr Kharakwal of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Dr Rawat of Archaeology Department, Gujarat State Government and Dr. Osada of RIHN; a report on faunal remains by Drs Goyal and Joglekar of Deccan College; anthracological analysis by Drs Lancelotti and Madella of Institucio Mila i Fontanals, Spain; ethnoarchaeological study by Dr Ansari of Deccan College; a report on memorial stones at Kanmer by Mr Thakuria of Deccan college and several authors.

Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Toshiki Osada is a Professor at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), Kyoto and the leader of Indus Project. He has conducted extensive field research on the language and culture of Munda since 1984. He edited the book titled Indus Civilization: Text and Context Vol. 1 (2006) and Vol. 2 (2009), and edited with Dr. Uesugi the RIHN-Manohar Indus Project series titled Current Studies on the Indus Civilization.

Akinori Uesugi is a research scholar working for the Indus project at RIHN since 2007. He specializes in Harappan archaeology, and has long experience of conducting excavations at several sites in South Asia. He is a co-editor of Current Studies on the Indus Civilization Vols. 1-3 (2010), Vols. 4 and 6 (2011).
