Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Dr. G. Bhaskar is Professor and Head, Department of Economics, Kakatiya University, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh. He obtained M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from Kakatiya University, Warangal. He has completed two Research Projects financed by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi and published articles in professional journals of repute. His areas of specialization include agricultural economics, rural development and environmental problems.

Undoubtedly this has helped the Indian economy to recoup its strength with the flow of international capital and technology resulting in a robust economic position. The economy is moving steadily with more than 6 per cent GDP growth rate for the last two decades or so. However the new economic order has posed severe challenges to the agricultural and rural sectors of the economy.
