SKS Marya, Chairman Orthopaedics and Institute of Joint Replacement Surgery Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. New Delhi qualified from PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS, New Delhi, National Board, New Delhi and University of Liverpool, UK. Previously, he was Director, Division of Joint Replacement Surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Delhi and Consultant Orthopaedics Surgeon in UK. He is an experienced Arthroplasty Surgeon who has numerous publications to his credit and is quoted in textbooks like Campbell's Operative Orthopaedics and Rockwood and Green's Fractures in Adults.

Dr. Marya is a member of editorial board of ten Orthopaedic journals and Visiting Professor of Orthopaedics at two Medical Colleges. He has demonstrated live joint replacement surgeries on many occasions in India and abroad. He has trained many national and international Arthroplasty fellows and he conducts Delhi Arthroplasty Course twice a year.

Dr. Marya has been recently appointed as a Visiting faculty for Human body Mechanics Course at IIT, Kharagpur.

Dr. Marya has authored books on Total Knee Replacement, Surface Replacement of the Hip and Trends in Total Knee Replacement.

Dr. Marya has initiated many new surgical techniques in the country like Unicompartmental Knee Replacement, Articular Surface Replacement, High Flex Rotating Knee Replacement, Proxima Hip Replacement and Computer Assisted Joint Replacement in North India.
