He contributes to various Indian and foreign publications such as Frontline, The Hindu, The Caravan and Monthly Review. His writings have been translated into more than half a dozen Indian and foreign languages.Meera Velayudhan is a policy analyst and former president of Indian Association for Women's Studies (IAWS). She has been involved in gender studies from its inception in India in early 1980s, her research focusing on strategies of organization of women in historical and contemporary contexts."
