Inhaltsangabe

Ambedkar's work goes beyond mere criticism; it is a thorough analysis and an uncompromising indictment of the caste system and the social injustices it perpetuates. In this text, Ambedkar argues that the caste system is fundamentally incompatible with the ideals of equality, liberty, and fraternity. He critiques Hindu scriptures that justify and sustain caste hierarchies and calls for a radical restructuring of Indian society. Ambedkar's work also addresses the psychological and moral degradation imposed on lower-caste individuals and the urgent need for social reform to achieve true democracy. "Annihilation of Caste" is not just a critique of a social system but a passionate call to action. It has been influential in shaping Dalit movements and continues to be a vital text in discussions on caste, social justice, and human rights in India. The book's relevance persists as it challenges readers to reflect on and address ongoing inequalities and injustices in society.
