Dr. Priyanka Joshi completed her high school in Georgetown, Guyana. She received a B.A. in History from Nowrosjee Wadia College and an M.A. with first rank from the University of Pune's Department of History. In 2014, she obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Pune with a thesis titled "Films and History - A Critical Study of Select Hindi Films (1950-2008)," under the guidance of Dr. Radhika Seshan .Since 2011, Dr. Joshi has taught History at various institutions. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at PES' Modern College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (Autonomous) in Shivajinagar, Pune. She has been with the college since 2015. Dr. Joshi has presented papers at numerous conferences and seminars, and her work has been published in journals and book chapters. In addition to academic writing, she is also a fiction writer, having authored three novels and contributed in numerous anthologies. She has simultaneously published a book titled "Cultural Echoes: Understanding Popular Culture" alongside this one.
