El Kamasutra es, en contra de la creencia popular, mucho más que un compendio de posturas sexuales. Se trata de un antiguo texto hindú que versa sobre el amor, el erotismo y las relaciones de pareja. Su autor, Vatsiaiana (c. II y IV d.C.), define el sexo como una «unión divina» y elabora toda una guía para una vida virtuosa, placentera y plena, en sintonía con la naturaleza. Las ilustraciones han sido creadas expresamente para esta edición.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Vatsyayana was an ancient Indian writer and sage who is believed to have lived between the 6th century B.C. and the 6th century A.D., during the Gupta Empire. While very little is known about his life, he has come down in history as the compiler of the famous Kama Sutra. Priya Kuriyan is an illustrator.
