SOFTCOVER. 1st Edition. One of only 2,000 such copies. The jacket is made from a large 81cm x 30cm piece of Kapoor's huge sculpture 'Taratantara'. When the sculpture was dismantled after a second showing in Naples, selected parts of the heavy duty PVC material were cleaned, cut and heat-embossed to become jackets for this UK first edition. It proved to be an expensive and difficult process so was not repeated for later printings or the German / Italian versions of the book. Given the phenomenal prices his work now fetches, this book may be the closest many of us will come to owning (part of) an original sculpture by Kapoor. Taratantara first appeared at the Baltic, Gateshead 7 July - 1 September 1999. It was shown again in Naples using scaffolding supports. The book is large 4to (quarto) format in stiff card covers, with approx. 80pp on thick art paper, with colour photos, drawings and sketches showing the work from conception to completion. CONDITION: An extremely well preserved AS NEW unmarked copy in an AS NEW jacket. An excellent copy ] __NOTE Due to size and/or weight posting to some destinations outside the UK will cost more than the shipping price shown. If so, orders made by card will only be completed after you have approved any extra cost. ._ To see more of our Art Monographs etc type DbbARTIST in the Keywords search box ._We Ship in PROTECTIVE CARD PARCELS. Paper Cover Boards. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 4to, soft cover with rubber-like dust jacket, made of the same material as the Taratantara sculpture. Unpaginated, profusely illustrated with colour photographs. Signed by Anish Kapoor at title page. This item has suffered from the combination of the material together with the particular quality of the paper. There are traces of ink which have been passed over onto opposite pages. The edges of both the dust jacket and the soft covers are slightly worn. All in all, it is in arguably good condition. Signed by Artist. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 035465
