Inhaltsangabe

Remember who you are.
Fearless, resilient
and more than just your skin's worth!

Frederik is an intuitive child who wants to change his skin color after seeing the challenges people of color must face in the world around him. Despite his wish, his mother encourages him to see the beauty in his diverse cultural heritage and embrace himself as a person capable of anything and worth much more than just the color of his skin.

Teaching children to acknowledge the strength and beauty that comes from being unique and not to tolerate the injustices in today's cruel world, From the Island to the World, Racism is Never Cozy is an uplifting book of hope for children and parents alike. With words of encouragement, educational resources, and easy-to-understand concepts about a difficult subject, this beautifully illustrated children's book is perfect for readers of all ages.

Written by Therese Christensen, this powerful book about strength in diversity and embracing your differences holds a place close to her heart as a late-diagnosed autistic adult embracing her neurological differences while raising a family in a multicultural society.
