Owen Jones, auteur à succès sur Amazon, est originaire de Barry, au Pays des Galles. Il a vécu dans beaucoup de pays, et voyagé dans bien d`autres. Alors qu`il étudiait la langue russe en URSS dans les années 1970, il côtoyait régulièrement des espions. Après ses études univeritaires, il s`est mêlé en 1982 au coup d`etat au Suriname. On l`a accusé d`être un mercenaire. Plus tard, alors qu`il travaillait comme directeur d`entreprise, il a rejoint un équpiage de quatre personnes comme galérien sur un yacht en béton fait maison, pour voyager de Barry à Gibraltar, pendant l`opération "Desert Storm". En route, le yacht a faillit être percuté par un pétrolier russe, et un porte-avions américain, "l`Atlantic Voyager". Depuis 2004, il vit principalement en Grande Bretagne, en Espagne, et en Thaïlande. Il mène désormais une vie plus calme dans la ferme de sa femme, dans un village isolé au nord du pays. Il passe son temps à écrire, à éditer, et à assurer la traduction et la narration de ses romans.
