In the words of Napoleon, “History is a set of lies agreed upon”. We read such history, understand it and idealise it. It must be rewritten without prejudices and discrimination's.
Human tendency of enslaving others is not newly born; It is one of his basic instinct. It is a congenital evil of human behaviour since the dawn of civilisation. They first enslaved animals and later humans of his own kind. This trait proliferated when we glorified killers and treated them like heroes. If it is sinful, wrong and illegal to kill a person and confiscate his property, then why doesn’t killing millions of people and vanquishing empires amount to the blunder of plunder? Why are these “conquerors” treated with great reverence instead of being criticised as sinners, killer or criminals? This instinct could have been restrained, if from the very beginning we would have condemned such activities and such people, if Alexander would have been branded as brutal killer instead of a great conqueror. But the truth is contrary. For thousands of years we plundered lands, killed people, exploited them; and after ages of annihilation we gained some sense and this injustice against humans was censored.

Though humans are not completely freed of this trait, but it has been controlled to a great extent. This change was brought upon after humans began to empathise with the pain of other human beings; but even today our attitude towards animals has not changed much. They are mute, they are voiceless, they are unable to express themselves so we neither feel their pain, nor see their miseries nor hear to their woes.
Through the medium of this story, I have tried to rouse sympathy towards animals in human hearts.
I hope that my imaginary mirror shows humans see their despicable reality and forces them to revalue their own behaviour.
