Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Peu Ghosh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science, Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata, West Bengal. She is an MA PhD in international relations from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and has done a certificate course in human rights from IGNOU.

She has special interest in international relations, IPE, politics of South Asia, migration and refugee issues and international humanitarian law.

She is the author of the books titled International Relations and Indian Government and Politics . She has a monograph titled Bhutanese Refugees: A Forgotten Saga, which is based on rigorous research work and visit to the Bhutanese refugee camps in Nepal.

The book titled International Relations, 5th edition, received the Award of Excellence in the year 2020 in the category of Textbooks: College (English) from the Federation of Indian Publishers, the representative body of the publishers in India and affiliate member of International Publishers Association, Geneva.

She has a number of articles published in reputed journals and chapters in edited books to her credit. She has worked as an intern with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, New Delhi. She has gone through training in peace studies in the Institute of Peace and Dialogue, Vienna, Austria, under pioneer teachers such as Professor Johan Galtung, Dietrich Fischer, Patrice Brodeur and Sara Clarke-Habibi, who had illuminated her with their knowledge on conflict and conflict resolution.

She has delivered lectures in several national and international seminars including an invited lecture in the Department of Islamic Political Science, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She has been a speaker at the plenary at the 1st International Conference of Africa-Asia Development University Network and the Africa’s Asian Options (AADUN–AFRASO) Project, 2014, Malaysia, and at the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences (2014), Brock University, St Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

She is actively involved in the formulation of fundamentals of political science, glossary of political science from English to Bengali under the Commission for Scientific & Technical Terminology, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

She is member of the International Editorial Board of International Journal of Political Science since 2020.
