Sydney George Fisher (September 11, 1856 - February 22, 1927) was a lawyer and historian in the United States, best known for his book The True History of the American Revolution. Sydney George Fisher was born on September 11, 1856 in Philadelphia, the only son of Elizabeth (Ingersoll) and Sidney George Fisher. His father was a lawyer and historian as well. Sydney attended St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire, graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut (1879) with a B.A., studied law for two years at Harvard Law School, and was admitted to the bar in Philadelphia in 1883. On February 22, 1927, he died at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Essington, Pennsylvania.
