Brig (Dr) P S Siwach (Retd) is a rare brand of soldier- academician. He served in the Army for 34 years, in various command and staff appointments, thereafter took voluntary retirement and joined the Academic world in June 2008. Post retirement from Army, he joined Manipal Group as Director ICICI Manipal Academy at Bangalore, training the Probationary Officers (POs) of ICICI Bank. He helped in grooming and mentoring a new Training Academy in banking industry, leading to several banks now training their POs with Manipal. In 2011, he was tasked to be part of the raising team of Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ). Having successfully raised MUJ he moved to take on a new challenge of raising a School of Vocational Programmes at JECRC University, Jaipur, that will impart Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) and Master of Vocation (M.Voc), new undergraduate and post graduate degree courses recently permitted by UGC. Brig PS Siwach (Retd) is a keen golfer, painter and an avid reader.
