Inhaltsangabe

One of the most fascinating areas of the occult - and one of the least understood is the subject of the Tarot, those mystical cards hundreds - perhaps thousands - of years old, which come down to us from an origin shrouded in mystery. Many things are claimed for the Tarot pack: it is reputed to have been the ancestor of our modern playing cards; it is supposed to contain all the Wisdom of the Ages, symbolically expressed; it is said to have the power to foretell the future. Whatever their powers, the Tarot cards never fail to fascinate the casual experimenter and to richly repay the serious student of their mysteries. Dr. Thierens offers a clear, concise explanation of the Tarot, both the Lesser and the Greater Arcana, and sets forth for the first time a carefully-worked-out system of correspondance between the Tarot and Astrology. He offers a key to divination with the cards that will be of great relevance as to those interested in both the Tarot and astrological studies.
