Jingbiao Chen
Professor Jingbiao Chen received his Bachelor degree in Physics from Hangzhou University, Hangzhou, China, in 1990, and Master degree in Nonlinear Optics from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 1995, and Ph.D. degree in Radio Physics from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 1999. Then, he served as a lecturer from April 1999 to July 2001, and as an associate professor from August 2001 to July 2009 in the Department of Electronics at Peking University. During January 2002 to December 2004, he is a postdoctoral researcher in the Physics Department at Pennsylvania State University in the United States. Since August 2009, he is a Professor at the School of Electronics, Peking University. Currently, Professor Chen is a Boya Distinguished Professor of Peking University, Vice Director of the Institute of Quantum Electronics, Outstanding Individual in Industry-University-Research Cooperation Projects, Peking University, Executive Director of Chinese Society for Measurement, Member of the Time and Frequency Committee of Chinese Society for Measurement, and Member of the National Time and Frequency Metrology Technical Committee. He is also well-known as an international expert in the field of quantum precision measurement, high-precision atomic clock, laser physics, laser spectroscopy, and frequency-stabilized diode laser. He pioneered the principle and method of active optical clock, Faraday laser, Ca atomic beam optical clock. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed technical papers in international journals and conferences, and obtained more than 100 authorized invention patents.
Tiantian Shi
Dr. Tiantian Shi received her B.E degree in Xidian University, Xian, China, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Science and Technology from the Peking University, Beijing, in 2021. Since Jul. 2021, Dr. Shi has been in School of Electronics, Peking University, as a postdoc, and science Oct. 2023, Dr. Shi has been in School of Integrated Circuits, Peking University, as a Research Assistant Professor. Dr. Shi focuses on the research of atomic clocks and laser physics. She recent research interests include: ultra-stable laser system, Faraday laser, active atomic clock, laser cooling atomic clocks, etc. Since 2018, Dr. Shi has published 23 peer-reviewed technical papers in international journals, such as, Communications Physics, Photonics Research, Physical Review Applied, Physical Review A, Optics Express, etc. She is a member IEEE and served as a reviewer of several international journals. She was a recipient of two Finalist of Best Paper Awards at the Joint Conference of the IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium and IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics. Dr. Shi was also awarded the Beijing Outstanding Graduates, and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, which recognized her achievement as one of the most highlighting research outputs done by postgraduates within Peking University in 2021.
Duo Pan
Dr. Duo Pan received her B.E. degree in "Electronic Information Science and Technology" from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in “Radio Physics”from Peking University in 2018. Since Jul. 2018, Dr. Pan has been in School of Electronics, Peking University as an Assistant Researcher. Dr. Pan focuses on the research of atomic clocks and atomic spectroscopy. Her recent research interests include: chip-scale atomic clocks, atomic stabilized laser, modulation transfer spectroscopy etc. Since 2018, Dr. Pan has published 25 peer-reviewed technical papers in international journals and conferences. She served as a reviewer of several international journals, and was awarded Best Student Paper Awards at the IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium in 2014 and 2018, respectively. Dr. Pan was also awarded the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the Chinese Society of Metrology and Testing, which recognized her achievement on laser stabilization.
Zheyi Ge
Dr. Zheyi Ge received his Bachelor and PhD degrees in Applied Physics and Physics from National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China, in 2010 and 2015, respectively. Since Dec. 2015, Dr. Ge has been in School of Science, National University of Defense Technology as a Lecturer. From Sept. 2023, Dr. Ge has been a Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantum Electronics of Peking University.Dr. Ge focuses on the research of laser plasma, laser energy absorption, and laser-fusion plasma. His recent research interests include: Faraday laser, frequency-stabilized diode laser, quantum electronics, precision instrument, etc. Dr. Ge was a recipient of 1st Prize of Undergraduate Physics Competition in Hunan Province in 2009, and Outstanding Doctoral Graduate of National University of Defense Technology, Zhou Mingxie Scholarship in 2015. As the project leader, he successfully completed 1 national major special project, 1 National Natural Science Foundation of China Young Scientists Fund project, and 1 research plan project from the National University of Defense Technology. Dr. Ge has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers, including 6 as the first author. He was received the "Youth Cup" Young Talent Award from the Radiation Physics Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society in 2018.
Jia Zhang
Dr. Jia Zhang received her B.E. degree in Electronic Science and Technology from Xidian University, Shaanxi, China, in 2021 and is now pursuing her doctoral degree in School of electronics, Peking University. Dr. Zhang focuses on the research of quantum electronics. Her recent research interests include: active optical clock, Faraday laser, and optical frequency standards, etc.
Zijie Liu
Dr. Zijie Liu received his B.E. degree in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2019 and M.E, degree in National University of Defense Technology, Changsha, China, in 2022, respectively, and is now pursuing his doctoral degree from Peking University. Dr. Liu focuses on the research of quantum electronics. His recent research interests include: Optical frequency standards utilizing the Faraday effect, high-energy Faraday laser systems, and Faraday optical frequency standard employing microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), etc.
Xiaomin Qin
Dr. Xiaomin Qin received her B.E. degree in Optoelectronic information science and engineering from Shandong University, Qingdao, China, in 2022. Now she is pursuing Ph.D. degree in Electronic Science and Technology (Quantum Electronics) from School of Electronics, Peking University. Dr. Qin focuses on the research of quantum precision measurement. Her recent research interests include: novel Faraday lasers, laser frequency stabilization techniques, Faraday laser pumped compact cesium clocks and so on.
Yaqi Wang
Yaqi Wang received her B.E. degree in Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering from Changchun University of Science and Technology, Changchun, China, in 2016, and the M.E. degree in Optical Engineering from The National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2021. From Jul. 2021 to Mar. 2023, Yaqi Wang worked as an optical engineer in QUDOOR Technologies Inc. Since Nov. 2023, she has been in School of Electronics, Peking University as an optical engineer.
