Walckiers made himself a name as a composer and teacher; he wrote more than 100 works for the flute, comprising: fantasias on opera melodies, sonatas, duets, trios, quartets, etc. which are highly popular. Like the quartet in F sharp minor (and the numerous duets and trios written by E.
